"TLDR: cooked to order quality food with friendly prompt service. I recommend. Travelling through Portage la Prairie, I got some supper here as it was closest to where I stayed and rated well. Folks, it deserves it. I had the burger box, a double stacked bacon cheeseburger with fries and a canned beverage. Cost me under $25 with a small tip. The food was excellent, both burger and fries clearly made to order, nicely melted American cheese, bacon not over or under done. I chose fresh onions, but grilled or crispy were options. The burger had fresh veg and a generic hamburger sauce, in the bag was ample other condiments, mustard, relish, ketchup. Portion size was enormous, I had enough food to share with friend and be satisfied, but it was good enough I ate it all. I was helped by Sofiia, who was friendly and positive and made a little conversation while I waited. I elected to eat there. There are only 6 chairs in the place, and no customer washroom, so I'd recommend taking away rather than eating it there if it's a busy time or you have a group. This business also supports the local junior A hockey team, so if you do to, it's a good match."

"We had a good lunch today! My son had cheeseburger and chips, and for myself, fish and chips. The couple who own the place are very friendly. They take your name upon order and remember it, chat with you and even see you to the door! Thank you!"

"The fries are surprisingly good. I ate most of them, which is why I didn’t have space for my burger. But the burger was good too. I ate the rest later, and it was still good. One of the better burger places I’ve been to in Manitoba. The owner/staff also chatted us up while we had our meal. They were very welcoming. I would definitely come back here when I’m in the area."
